It’s always a bittersweet moment at the end of one of these races. The runners and race team are exhausted and ready to rest, but we’ll all feel something massive missing when we wake tomorrow without another stage to run.

Still, when the runners get back to their families and to their jobs, they’ll have memories to look back on that are uniquely wonderful. It’s been a spectacular event here in Kenya, one that will stick with everyone here.

Our congratulations to our winners, and to every single athlete that toed the line. It’s a long journey full of sacrifice and hard effort just to start an event of this scale and each and every one of them has our respect and admiration.
